As I do not have suitable hardware to test full duplex with *BSD,
and it seems full duplex may be unavailable under Linux ABI on NetBSD (anybody
who knows for sure?), I am releasing a half-duplex version of xspeakfree.
It is expected to work on any hardware and supported OS
(Linux, FreeBSD 5, NetBSD 2).

It is available as "xspeakfree-hd", otherwise identical to xspeakfree.

Remember that with half-duplex programs you can not hear anything
while you are transmitting.

Note also that with some older (OSS) audio drivers on Linux you might
be forced into using "sflaunch" for full duplex conversation,
or resort to half-duplex versions of the programs:

sfspeaker-hd
sfmike-hd

xspeakfree-hd
