I don't think my Linux version supports strace nor ltrace.

Most definitely. Almost everytime I run Speak Freely, the condition shows up,
and then sfspeaker becomes unrespondsive. I need to manually restart sfspeaker
to continue.

Is there any other way to find out what's going on?
