Speakfreely is continuing on the sourceforge site.  That's a good
reminder to anyone receiving this who hasn't yet signed up to the
sourceforge mailing list too!

The LWL servers are not an essential part of speakfreely, and I think
an alternative will be developed with time.  You can see the current
status at: http://speak-freely.sourceforge.net/

My suggestion is instead using an LWL server, to establish contact via
an IM tool such as Jabber, and inform the other party of your current
IP address through that method.  On the windows version of
speakfreely, there is a dialog that tells you what your current IP
address is.
