I tried to build Pipewire from source on Ubuntu 18.04 and it complained that the ALSA library that ships with 18.04 is too old. That's a deal-breaker in my book.If it doesn't work on an LTS release it's not usable in a *lot* of use cases. Still a few hitches, and I'm not sure I'd recommend it for full time serious audio work yet, but I believe it is getting there! I have written a blog post detailing my setup here: https://roosnaflak.com/tech-and-research/transitioning-to-pipewire/ > > All the best, and hope this will be useful for somebody! > Kenneth > > -- > Roosna & Flak - Contemporary Dance & Music > Web: roosnaflak.com > Code: {github,gitlab}.com/kflak > Mastodon: @[email protected] > > > _______________________________________________ > sc-users mailing list > > info (subscription, etc.): http://www.birmingham.ac.uk/facilities/ea-studios/research/supercollider/mailinglist.aspx > archive: http://www.listarc.bham.ac.uk/marchives/sc-users/ > search: http://www.listarc.bham.ac.uk/lists/sc-users/search/ -- Borasky Research Journal https://www.znmeb.mobi Markovs of the world, unite!
