Robert had some luck displaying UTF-8 in zinf.
He removed some conversion code from the vorbis module.
I think there is a flag (something like G_BROKEN_FILENAMES)
that let's gtk know that you are *not* using UTF8 for 
directories and filenames.

Robert, could you weigh in on what Roman is seeing?
