Compiling Zinf

I'm trying to write a plugin for my WombatShare protocol for Zinf but I 
can't get Zinf to compile under any platform do the current source 
tarballs/zips actually work ? Do I need to get a cut from CVS, can 
anyone give me any tips here ?
