You need to have quite a few development
packages installed to get zinf to compile on linux.
The configure script will usually give you a hint
as to what's missing, but it's output can be cryptic
at times.   Send errors to the list and someone will give
you a hand.


If you are compiling for windows, then there may be still
a few members on the list that were attempting this but
it was quite a while ago that I heard from them.
Same thing send the errors to the list and see if anybody
can help.
