makefile dist target?

I was playing around with new configuration and gcc-3.3

and I noticed that 

$  make dist

fails (somehow certain files aren't getting copied).

Also the target is creating a directory "%h,include"
in several of the distribution subdirectories
which seems to be coming from the 

  Makefile.am-fragment in the top level.


Anybody feel like taking a look?
