hrm... usually things don't break unless it's a major version x.0.0 as 
opposed to 2.x.0.  better safe than sorry in this case ;).  i'm on mandrake 
9.0 right now and everything works great minus the alsa drivers, but those 
are easily fixed by installing the latest 0.9rc6(as of today) and installing 
those (over Mandrake 9.0's 0.9rc2). but zinf does work in mdk.
