Main thing for EMP to work, AFAICT, is to either not rely on the
filenames extension (probably much work) or to treat .emp the same as
 .rmp (less work but ugly).

The only place I can find that in the CVS-version is in
 base/win32/src/main.cpp. Sorry I can't make a test-build, that fails
 with
In file included from ui/include/ui.h:28,
                 from ui/lcd/include/lcdui.h:27,
                 from ui/lcd/src/lcdui.cpp:36:
base/include/event.h:33: parse error before `c'
base/include/event.h:36: destructors must be member functions
base/include/event.h:36: virtual outside class declaration
base/include/event.h:37: syntax error before `('
base/include/event.h:41: syntax error before `;'
base/include/event.h:46: parse error before `)'

(and a lot more), and C++ is definitely not something I'm familiar with.

cheers,
