Installing Zinf 2.2 on redhat 8.0

Hello

has anyone else had any problems installing zinf 2.2
on redhat 8.0? I keep getting the error:

checking for mb_GetVersion in -lmusicbrainz... no
***
*** FreeAmp requires the MusicBrainz client library
version 1.0.1.
*** Download the library from
***     http://www.musicbrainz.org/download.html
***
configure: error: Cannot continue.

Even if i download the avaible client library ( which
is version 1.10) i cant install. Can anyone suggest
how to get around this please?
