I'm running SuSE 9.0 on Linux kernel 2.6.1, AMD64 hardware. Zinf 2.2.4 that came with SuSE. I tried the alsa sound plugin. It works, except after every song, it has trouble re-opening a connection to the sound server, so things pause at the end of each track. :-( Any ideas what's wrong? So I switched to ARTS. That works just fine. HOWEVER: A couple of programs momentarily interrupt the sound when run. Konqueror, for example. It's only a couple of KDE programs that do this. Non-KDE programs such as Mozilla and even hogs like OpenOffice do not interrupt the sound when interrupted. Any idea what is causing this? My guess is it has nothing to do with Zinf, but this seemed like a logical place to start.
