Abandoning Windows

I also suggest posting up the old binary versions that were not having
these major problems. I have used the original freeamp and the first
zinf "version" (which essentially was a name change, everything else
was the same inside).Except for some crashing with ogg files ,which
happens after jumping around inside a bunch of times ^_^, I have not
had any problems with the player. The main reason I use freeamp on
windows machine is because it supports ogg and is free. Most of the
ogg/vorbis players are *not* free which is rather silly to me (open
format but pay $$ for player, but pay $$ for format but free
player...).Although that is another story in itself...

So I think splitting it into two groups/projects/whatever would be a
good idea. It could be on the side waiting for someone to pick up the
work. Or even, it could be maintained but using all of the windows
API's (which I presume is easer to use in windows). Perhaps then just
keep the features/interface the same. This would then provide some
separate "identity" with which the user/emuisic/etc users can relate
to. Perhaps even giving it a different name (winf?). Thus, would get
rid of all the expectations/worries/troubles of keeping the work going
while still providing an options to others.

thanks,
Ian
