Autopackage is supposed to add ~/.local/bin to PATH. Did it not do this? You probably need to restart your bash shell before it will recognize the new PATH. .desktop files install with installMenuItem again *should* be patched so that they have the complete path to the binary listed in Exec and TryExec. What distro is this that it's failing on?
