I think the AP guys are capable of handling the more difficult option :-).
The power and flexibility of Git is possibly more important to them.

And SourceForge? Is more flexible than GCode and have more services

No doubt, SF is more flexible than GC; it's also a sh!tload slower and less
reliable.  I've been using both of them for years, and GC easily wins in
terms of speed and reliability.  As an example, SF was down for maintenance
for most of yesterday.

Really the download site of SF is a list of mirrors, try "wget

That all depends on whether the user or the routing system is wise enough to
choose the best mirror, which often doesn't happen with SF.  With Google
Code, there's no need to screw around with mirrors in the first place.
