My understanding is that it can be done, mostly, if you know what you're 
doing configuring PHP.  I freely admit I don't.

However, I may be worrying about nothing.  I just looked again at the 
USE flags for app-backup/bacula on Gentoo ... and checked the links on 
BAT ... and the Gentoo ebuild has already been updated to Qt6.
