on the nature of pushing things...

I'm currently working on a simulation in which two or more vehicles push each other around (and perhaps out of) a ring. The vehicles are based on those in the Braitenberg class, with the addition of a target attached to the rear of each vehicle and a "navigator" attached to the front. The navigator detects the closest target and determines the correct wheel movements necessary to steer its vehicle towards the target. I'm very new to breve, so I was surprised to get things working as well as they are: http://toasty.mcs.muohio.edu/~moosejc/battle.tar.gz (Every once in a while, the navigators mistakenly drive the vehicles away from each other. If that happens, just restart the simulation.) I'm currently trying to figure out how to make the vehicles actually push each other. As it is now, when one vehicle tries to push another, its wheels spin, but there is no movement. What do I need to adjust to allow pushing? I've tried a few things with the "set-mu" and "set-eT" methods, but haven't had much luck. I would greatly appreciate whatever help you can provide. Thanks, John _______________________________________________ breve mailing list [email protected] http://www.spiderland.org/mailman/listinfo/breve
