difference between breve breve_cli

Hello,
I use breve in command line with the graphical windows to creature the 
video of my simulation. I try to use the command line without the 
graphical windows and I have two problems.  I try to load a file  and 
the path is different. In one case the file is find only in /breve/bin 
and in the other case only in /breve.
The second problem is with the mpeg function I would to know if It is 
possible to detect the mode CLI to disable these functions from my 
script.
