Not currently possible, though I've been giving some thought to it

Nope, sorry, not possible at the moment either.

I guess I struck out this time -- this isn't currently possible  
either, but it
definitely should be.  random works on different data types,  
including vector,
but not currently on list or matrix.  I will put this on the todo  
list for the
next version.
