So, now we need to start looking at the differences between gnats-pwconv
and other GNATS executables, preferably ones that are created
successfully.  Is getopt handled differently?  Where on your system is
getopt receiving its declaration from?  How does that conflict with
gnats-pwconv.c?  Etc.
