Writing data out when issue reaches resolved

Hi.

I'd like to write out some data from the mantis issue to a file when the issue
enters resolved state or is subsequently updated.

Is this something I can do using one of the custom functions or in some other
way without having to modify mantis itself?

Any thoughts/advice most welcome.
