Thinking more about it, I guess I will be fine with anything reasonable 
you'll come up with. A blank "[" line seems rare enough. The Debian way 
closing with "thanks" or so is quite cool also, so it is worth a look.

Yes, for instance you can start here:
  http://www.debian.org/Bugs/server-request.en.html
Emails get send to the control server and at the same time
to people and the "recording" server at once and still look natural.

I'd say one syntax probably is enough. Too many variants may make it 
harder to support over time.
