For me these two occasions look like the database you see in the
web-interface is not the same as the one your mail gateway sees.
There is no need to restart the tracker when changing mail addresses in
the database -- these should be immediately available to the mail
gateway. Note that you can have more than one email address per user for
*incoming* mails via the mail-gateway, the additional addresses are kept
in the alternate_addresses field (one per line).

Yes, this looks suspicious.

Can you also let us know what the error messages are when these tests are
failing?

The failing tests look suspicious but not seeing why they fail it's hard
to tell what goes wrong.

Did you make any recent changes to your setup that might make this fail?
Like, e.g., change python version etc?
