language in roundup mails

Hi guys,

after reading all guides and the developer infos, having a look at the 
source of roundupdb.py,
I am asking myself, if there really is no possibility to change the 
language of mailcontents in roundup?

As it seems, mails are constructed in roundupdb.py e.g. the string 
"added the comment" is appended.
Isn't there any templating done for mails?
Or at least, isn't there a possibility to provide the strings in 
different languages?

The guide talks about the .po / .mo files but first I cannot find any, 
second are they only used for the web text?
