Hmm, can you try to reproduce this with a different browser but with the same user? On first glance this looks to me like a permission problem, i.e., that the user in question may not see the class or the Link/Multilink used in the dropdown. If you do not see any fields in the source this looks like it is not generated by the server not a mac specific problem.
