Would removing URL from notification emails be a useful feature?

Hi all: I have a ticket from 2012 to remove the URL pointing to an issue from the issue notification (nosy) email footer. Wking submitted: https://issues.roundup-tracker.org/issue2550758 The use case is an email only tracker. No web interface. I think this use case is a niche use case, but it can be supported with a minor change. However a more interesting use case occurred to me. Consider a customer facing ticketing system. The external users may only get email access while the employees get web and email access. In this use case, we want to generate different footers for messages going to the customer vs employees. If the user had "Web Access" permission they get the issue URL and email adress in the footer, otherwise they just get the email. If you use [nosy] email-sending = multiple this could be supported by checking the "Web Access" permission for each user. However is this feature really useful and worth a ticket? Quips, comments, evasions, questions or answers welcome. -- -- rouilj John Rouillard =========================================================================== My employers don't acknowledge my existence much less my opinions.
