Fully agreed.

As I said in my chat with Tony, Aegir will continue to evolve
as long as there are people interested in it. And as Aegir CMS
happens to be a very good CMS package for mid-sized websites,
there should be that interest.

The thing I was just talking about was the involvement of my
company in the development. Most of our clients are in the
bigger range (200+ users, big sites), where Aegir's UI concept
is simply unwieldy. So that is why we now need to focus on
making MidCOM usable.

It could be that a nice, usable interface to MidCOM becomes
the "Aegir killer", but I'm not sure. Open Source tends to be
evolutionary, and as long as people like Aegir, I think we
will see it develop.

BTW, agreed on the "get 1.0 out of the door" point. We should
have done this months ago, but unfortunately the feature freeze
was broken.
The reason why we haven't released is because I'm not fully
sure at the moment of the quality of the code. I know RC2
worked quite well, but haven't had time for real testing since
the big changes on the devel server started.

I suggest somebody (Tarjei, Alexey, Solt??) tests the current
Nightly well, and if it is found working we push out 1.0 while
in Lodz on Aug 8th.
