Hi First, I very welcome anyone who wants to write documentation for Flux CMS, no matter in which format. Having said that, it would be of course great, if all "end-user" documentation is in one place and in one format. As philipp said, the PDF is currently generated directly from the XHTMl pages of docs.bitflux.org and I'd more than happy, if we could extend that instead of writing a new "version" of some docs. The purpose of the User section in docs.b.o was exactly for endusers, which do not want to care about the inner workings of flux cms, but just want to edit content, so I think this would be the perfect place for additions. Furthermore, there's the "getting started" section for a quick overview, which is currently only available in english. To sum up, if you, Adrian, could extend and update the existing docs on docs.b.o instead of writing a new one, that would be great and we're more than happy to give you access to it. If you think, that doesn't make much sense, we could still import your texts later to docs.b.o, but that's just double work somehow. And docs.b.o and the pdf output could certainly get more "style", but I would try to keep our documentation efforts in sync. chregu On 11.2.2006 11:50 Uhr, Adrian Nussbaum wrote: >> That be great, but I think It should be available online and be >> printable, not just "printable". > > does this mean, that it should be directly online - in your > docs.bitflux.org-style? > > i can understand that you'd prefer to have an online-version, too. but > my clients mostly won't go there to have a look at it... so i thought > of a really easy-to-understand-written manual - almost "for dummies"... > but i'm not shure about that. maybe i could create out of the (updated) > online-version a nice printed one as well... > > or should i create some pages (pdf) as draft so we can discuss about > this try?
