the problem i'm having is identifying functionality that is specific to WCM - ie, that ECM doesn't have or doesn't typically support. the best i can come up with so far is - 1. template-based web publishing 2. site design/management (incl hyperlink management, navigation, directory/file structure) 3. personalization 4. site versioning, scheduling, archiving and then there's e-commerce/eCRM what else? i guess there are some ECM vendors already doing one or more of these (certainly no 1). is there any other functionality unique to WCM? is there any functionality unique to WCM at all? regards, bruce melendy content services manager lonely planet publications _______________________________________________ CMS mailing list [email protected] Subscription controls: http://lists.cms-forum.org/mailman/listinfo/cms Netiquette FAQ and related CMS lists - [CMS-Forum], [CMS-Meta], [CMS-PR], [CMS-Develop] http://www.cmsreview.com/NetiquetteFAQ.html
