RE: easy installation

RE: ActiveX client
Yes.

RE: can parse XHTML as well as HTML
Version 1.3 can convert legacy/dirty HTML into XHTML. Version 1.3 is
currently in beta. Here is the link to download it:
http://xstandard.com/misc/beta/x-pro.exe

You can see draft documentation for this new version of XStandard at:

RE: supports multiple instances on same page with different configuration
Yes.

Sorry, 1 line sales pitch. XStandard is not a wrapper around in-browser HTML
4 editor with clean up routines. It was built from scratch to be a true
XHTML Strict / 1.1 editor.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

-Vlad

Subject: [CMS] Rich-text editor - recommendations?

Hi all,

I would like to evaluate WYSIWYG/HTML editor solutions for our content entry
screens. I was hoping people who can speak from experience could recommend a
product. (no marketing/sales speeches please!)

Our content entry pages are written in JSP and run on a
Solaris/Apache/Tomcat environment.

Here's some important attributes for us:
- easy configuration
- easy installation
- ActiveX client
- can parse XHTML as well as HTML
- supports multiple instances on same page with different configuration

About XHTML... if it can validate the content against an XML schema, that
would be really cool...

Thank for your pointers in advance.

Jaakko Anttonen
