Re: Tracking different parts of a document

The $64000 question is whether the document is authored as items and
assembled when changed, or authored as a whole and items split out.

If it's the former and you're working in Documentum, then you could just
define the document as a Documentum Virtual Document with items as the
children and a little customization magic to assemble the root document.

If it's the latter, than I agree with James Robertson. You're in for a
world of hurt. If the customer is not amenable to a form based approach,
then there are too many ways for authors to break the system without
meaning to.
