Joe,

You may want to check out the Intranet Benchmarking Forum. They are based in
the UK so maybe they'll send you some of their materials gratis.

Subject: [CMS] Information Architecture assessment

We have a large university site with many complaints about the
difficulty of finding information. We would like to do a general
assessment using some sort of metric that will allow us to measure
improvements. I assume you would use a number of tools like log
analysis and user feedback. Does anyone have any examples of surveys
and other tools used?

Thanks!
joe
