This is a variation on a classic newbie question, but please bear with me. I need a detailed list of standard web CMS features (roles, workflow, templating etc.), from a 'reputable' source (which means, ideally, a company with brand recognition in the business world in this instance). The reason I need this is not because I do not know what a WCMS consists of (hopefully I learnt that through hanging around on lists like this one for a few years!), its because I've been asked by a client to objectively evaluate their existing CMS package. Therefore I am looking for a detailed list of features to use as a benchmark. I can/will refer to some of the standard texts that people in this community often use: Boiko, Hackos, Rockley and, of course, CMS Watch. Unfortunately, I know my life will be easier if I also reference a report from a company my client will be familiar with. Something from Forrester or Gartner would be ideal, but I can't find anything from them that is both up-to-date and comprehensive. I guess I'm also interested to know whether there is any consensus on this list on what would be the definitive references on this topic. Thanks in advance, Jason ======================= Jason Burton - Consultant voice +44 (0)20 7689 8800 fax +44 (0)20 7689 8801 web www.cscape.com =======================
