Hello Dave,

Most CMS require some type of customization. It doesn't have to be ASP
dot Net based, but if there is a CMS that has all the features that we
require, and there is no other CMS with the features dot net based, then
we might decide to go for a non dot net option.

I'm at the evaluation stage, the reasons that why an organization would
prefer it or not will be different.

In our case, rather than having to manage different languages for
support, maintenance, etc, for both CMS and locally developed
applications, we want to concentrate in one dev language.

I looked at CommonSpot, it has most features I require, there are a
couple of things that I would add/change, but the main down side is that
it's ColdFusion based, we have no in house support for language and
ColdFusion technology.

Regards,

I am curious why the CMS needs to be a .NET compliant product. What
advantages do you feel that will deliver to you? Please note, I have no
CMS product to offer and don't represent any products - so I am not
asking because I have something to sell you. I am just curious since
I've heard others say they would like a .NET product and I am wondering
what is driving that particular requirement.

Thanks -

Dave

Subject: [CMS] ASP dot Net CMS

Hi all,

I'm new at this list. As many other people will be, I'm in search of the
"Perfect CMS".

I have a long list of features, I won't go to details, but lets just say
feature rich, and preferably ASP dot Net based.

I'd like to get product names and feedback on people using ASP dot Net
based CMS system, TIA.

Regards,

Ruben
