I have very little time for x vs. y 'arguments' like this - but I do get disappointed when I read things such as "MCSEs are too stupid" etc. Anyone that can generalize about this sort of thing probably has some sort of chip on his / her shoulder (perhaps failed the exam eh!!?) To be honest though - I wasn't aware that MCSE was such a big deal any more? Is it? Perhaps an interesting conversation for a new CMS thread? Would you require an MCSE guy for your company if you were going to roll out a Microsoft based CMS? How would you evaluate an MCSE? I'm actually an MSCE - but one that passed not with boot camp or crammer tests - just (at the time) 5 years of previous experience. What does annoy me is MCSEs that pass their boot camp - and then can't even crimp an RJ45 cable. But hey can recite the OSI network model to you no problem! ..and after 10 years of PCs.. now I much prefer to use Macs. Neat GUI. UNIX. I'm sold. So I'm an MCSE Mac-head - fancy that! OK now I've probably offended everyone on the list... Anyway - this is now *wildly* off topic - but probably a good thing as I really didn't like where the thread was going anyway!
