I am sorry to hear you had trouble registering. I will look into the issue.

I, personally, find membership to CM Professionals very valuable. Many 
thought leaders within the industry are CM Professionals members and the 
mail lists have great discussions about various content management 
topics including technologies, the business case for content management, 
and the various sub-disciplines of content management. There is also a 
job board that is posted to regularly.

Please let me know if you have any specific questions. I will look into 
your registration order and try to figure out what went wrong.
