Hi Chris, I will let others speak to the benefits of CM Pros, though you might read the page on the website: http://www.cmprofessionals.org/membership/why_join/ As to the shopping cart, as you know it is having difficulty with your street address, probably because of changes to the stricter VeriSign authorization code we added last week. It is still working for others. Four new members joined since your failed attempt Thursday evening. And overall the shop has handled 380 transactions, 315 members joining and the others mostly registrations for our Summit meetings. As to Phil's old CMS list, I also miss it and believe I have worked as hard as anyone to get Phil to resuscitate it. I still include it prominently on http://www.cms-lists.org. Traffic on this list (which now has over 650 members) never got to more than a half to two-thirds of Phil's list. Traffic may be down recently because CM Pros has brought two new general lists online, one public and purely for non-technology discussions (contentmanagers-MANKfPrvENWc44HBJURdtIAH1+cY4lxd2LY78lusg7I@public.gmane.org), the other private for members (cmpros-MANKfPrvENWc44HBJURdtIAH1+cY4lxd2LY78lusg7I@public.gmane.org). We also started a PR mailing list to get the self-promotion traffic off the CMS list (http://lists.cms-forum.org/mailman/listinfo/cms-pr). This too may have reduced the new CMS list traffic. Anyway, the main purpose of this new CMS list will probably remain technology questions like "which CMS?" If you want to change the topic, of course you and others are welcome to. It's your list. Subscription info for the Content Managers list is at http://mailman.skybuilders.com/mailman/listinfo/contentmanagers. I hope you will join. .
