Donna, Let me try and answer some of your questions. UDDI does have an active technical committee at oasis and has some of the biggest companies actively working the spec. UDDI v3 was released in February. Some consider the ebXML Registry a competing spec of UDDI. I know that I have never had the requirements to implement UDDI but I know that down the street the FAA has a large install of services in UDDI. Additionally, I've heard that HHS is looking at UDDI as a cross Department service registry. I've been speaking to customers that are looking at Service Oriented Architecture's (SOA). SOA's require many services to be released to the business in an organized fashion. In a SOA I would definitely keep UDDI on the palette of technologies to possibly use.
