Russian (really, any foreign chars) are being stripped

I'm trying to put this text, Закуски, through TinyMCE into a body type field. In this case, it's the default dmHTML body field. The characters are being stripped out and nothing is saved. Even if I put in obvious english characters (asdf) and paste in that string, the entire body is stripped and nothing is there.
