That doesn't seem like a very good solution from Adobe. Seems more like a cop-out. Still, FarCry doesn't use CreateUUID() too often (to my knowledge)... Only when new content items are created (including draft content). But this is generated by the user (not automated by the system unless you did something special using Cron). Even if you do something like "Quick Site Builder" It's only going to create as many content items as you've told it to (and that only takes a few seconds). The short answer to your question is createUUID() isn't used often enough in FarCry to justify a problem such as you're concern (IMO) and I personally think you your problem lies somewhere else (I think they just jumped on the first answer in their database that sounded similar to your problem). There are some really great monitoring tools out there for ColdFusion that you can purchase (they're pretty inexpensive) that will look at the underlying JVM and go from there. I hear great reviews about them. Here are a couple (http://www.seefusion.com/ and http://fusion-reactor.com/). I suggest trying one of those to help you narrow down your problem. Personally I don't know why Adobe won't see that people have to rely on third-party products like this to do better support than what they offer (I probably just made some enemies at Adobe right there... oh well :)). --- Jeff Coughlin Web Application Developer http://www.jeffcoughlin.com --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "farcry-user" group.
