I figured "user" would be "people installing FarCry" and "dev" would be "people modifying FarCry" but now that you mention it, I have seen a lot of stuff like this on the dev list when I search... I've played with both, but I have a ton more experience with MySQL and my limited experience comparing them tells me that MySQL is simpler to configure and runs simple things much faster on given hardware. However there may be a number of speed tweaks to MSSQL that I don't know about yet. A good followup question might also be, to folks who use MySQL with FarCry, is there a strong preference towards specifically MyISAM or InnoDB tables? MyISAM is generally much faster for simple stuff, but InnoDB might more gracefully handle things like locking at a more granular level when someone is editing a page, etc. All feedback welcome! -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/database-recommendation--tf2012255s621.html#a5539545 Sent from the FarCry - User forum at Nabble.com. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "farcry-user" group.
