Multi-language support seems to be one of the number 1 requests recently.
Unfortunately the way FarCry is currently designed it would likely mean a
complete overhaul of the system and may possibly make upgrades from previous
versions difficult.

The idea I proposed was this (using dmHTML for an example... same could go
for any content type like News).  When you enter any PLP screen of a dmHTML
object you'd have a little option at the top (dopdown) called Language.  The
default would be your site language (option chosen in General site config).
All languages are blank in ay dmHTML object by default and no records exist
for them unless you enter data.  The dropdown is consistent across all PLPs
within that object.  If any data is added for a language, a list of
languages with data (data = complete/incomplete) is shown at the bottom of
the PLP (so you know which languages you have entered data for on that
object).  If you try to save/complete your object but are missing required
fields for a specific language the PLP will warn you and ask you to finish
completing the required data.

I ran these ideas by Geoff and he had some other helpful thoughts (which
elude me at this time).  Regardless though, Multi-language support (if done
correctly) would be very time consuming and would require funding (most
likely from a project for Daemon that requires such an overhaul).

I have heard of people doing workarounds though.  The two I hear the most
are 1) duplicate trees (you can copy & paste items from one tree to another
by right-clicking on them in the site tree), and 2) having multiple html
objects under one navigation node (Its very limited in terms of
functionality. It requires some custom logic to navigate between the items
and the user will likely always land on the default language for each link
and have to tell the page to show a different language).
