I agree with Graham's statement about the 
inconsistency of terms -- I think CMS vendors are 
still trying to battle for leadership, and unique 
terminology is one way they do it.

FYI, content lifecycle is the notion that content 
is entered into a CMS, goes through the 
approval/workflow process to be published on the 
site, maybe moves from the homepage to archives, 
and is eventually deleted completely.

Content management lifecycle is the same thing, I 
imagine. And CMS lifecycle? It seems to refers to 
the longevity of the software itself, but that 
seems an unlikely concept. Both of these terms 
seem erroneous to me.
