Hello Brad,

Don't think that you can save much money by hiring freelancer. You will
get a little bit changed Open Source CMS with 99% probability.

So either use one of the Open Source or try to buy existing CMS. The
price vary from $500 - $5000 (mid-level).

$5000 - a mid-level price for the one month of working. So you don't
know what you will get after one month. But here for the same money you
probably could get the yearly update/support and so on.

Good luck in a new year!

Best regards,
Dmitry Semenov.

Subject: [cms-list] coders in metro detroit

I am looking for a coder to help me create a CMS for a new web site. I
have a content spec almost done that explains exactly what I need the
CMS to do, and I am about to start looking for a good coder who lives
in Detroit. Does anyone know anyone in Detroit (or better yet in Ann
Arbor) who knows CMS in and out? I would be willing to hire this
person to help set up the CMS for about a month of work.

The idea is to avoid going to a large company to create the CMS for us
to save some $$$. Because once you set up the CMS and get the site up
and running, you don't really need to continue paying a large company,
right?

Which begs the bigger question: Is the freelance CMS/coder market
starting to grow these days? Are the users of this list mostly coders
who get freelance work?

Brad
