Maritza: Thanks, Jan-Willem! I've had a look at Net-It, and it does seem to
be a very good fit. The only issue that I'm not clear on, is whether it
automatically updates documents in its central library as they are changed
or not. It does expressly search for new files to publish, but I don't see
any references to regular, scheduled updated publishing - that would be
crucial for us.

I'd suggest you to have a look at Informative Graphics' Net-It Central

It seems to me it meets all your requirements (presuming you use an MS based
platform,
which seems to be the case, given the fact that you also use Visual
SourceSafe :-) )
