You might also want to have a look at our HardCore web content editor
(with open source but not completely free - £25):
http://editor.hardcoreinternet.co.uk/
It has cross-browser/cross-platform support for Internet Explorer 4.0 or
newer on Windows as well as Netscape 7.1 and Mozilla 1.3 and newer on
various platforms. It is 100% web browser based (Javascript and HTML)
with no client software installation required. A few simple server-side
scripts are also used with ASP, JSP and PHP versions included. You can
easily add ColdFusion etc. support yourself - or wait a couple of weeks
(new versions are released regularly and ColdFusion support is planned
for the near future).
Regarding a previous poster's comment on Netscape 7.0: No, Netscape 7.0
does not use the same engine as Mozilla 1.3 but an earlier version.
Editable content ("Midas") is not supported in Netscape 7.0 - only
Netscape 7.1.
