Ah yes another option (in Jahia 4.0 or 4.1) would be to add a new metadata 
field author in your content objects (cf: document_listing template) and 
then filter the display of such objects in edit mode according to the value 
of this field... I do not know if this will work but perhaps a more easy 
solution which will not require to modify the permissions on the fly but 
just to filter content in edit mode according to the current logued user... 
In Jahia 4.5, such a metadata will be in all the cases available on each 
content object without you needing to make a custom event listener.
