Errors with set up of out of the box Jahia - please help

Hi there,

 

I am running Jahia 4.1.0_01_b6070 on Tomcat 4.1.08 on Windows Server
2003 SP 1.

 

I am currently evaluating Jahia with a view to purchase a license. I
have to demonstrate a working site with various permission levels on
Wednesday - I am not sure if this is the appropriate list to email but I
could not find another for help on basic usage. I have read the
Administrators Manual but still cannot understand why the following
errors are occurring.

 

I have created a separate site to the default one it appears at this
internal address: http://hay-cms-cl-01.syd-cenet:8080/jahia/Jahia/pid/2 

 

I encountered no problems creating a site structure, i.e. Adding pages
(in the Simple Page Layout), however, I have problems when:

- I try to approve those pending pages via the workflow tab, and 

- When I click on the Update banner (standard link in the out of the box
page layout) and also

- When I try to upload a new file to a File Portlet I created in a page
that I created

 

I always get this error:

 

An error has occurred during processing. Please contact the 
administrator if you get this message repeatedly.

 

AND The link to view the HTML Page gives this error:


Cannot find server or DNS Error
Internet Explorer 


I set the logging status to paranoid and then restarted the service. I
went back to re-create the errors and had a look at the logs. 

Can someone let me know what we've got to fix so that I can approve
pages and get some files up there....
