Deploying on websphere

At our company, Jahia 4.1 runs on WebSphere 5.1. Recently, I tried to
add a webapp to a portal site. The deployment services produced an error
when I did.

I found out that the following variables have values specific for
tomcat:
serverHomeDiskPath
JahiaWebAppsDeployerService
jahiaWebAppsDeployerBaseUrl

How should this be configured for WebSphere? Specifically, I am not sure
what to do with serverHomeDiskPath: I want to try this on my development
system, where WebSphere runs within Rational Web Developer (for template
development). I don't see any single location where the Jahia
application ends up after deploying it in WebSphere.

If it is not possible to use the deployment services, how can I do what
the deployment service does manually?
