Cookie authentification

Hi,

I have a question about cookie authentification. I see that this is under development in your technologic news but I would like to know if it is now possible for an user to store his password inside a cookie and use it the next time he access to his site. We can ask the user if he wants or not to store his password for 1 day so he can directly access his features.(like SPIP a PHP CMS)
